Materials + Care

OUR MATERIALS

We believe that luxury can be affordable but that shouldn't mean compromising quality. We strive to provide luxury jewelry that is affordable, durable and sustainable. For this reason, we chose stainless steel as the base material for all of our jewelry pieces.

ABOUT STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is an alloy metal that contains chromium, carbon, and in some instances, nickel. Chromium allows stainless steel to be resistant to corrosion, rust, and heat. In addition to its resistance to these environments, stainless steel itself is also waterproof. Often referred to as a "green material," stainless steel is infinitely recyclable. Because of these reasons, we are pleased to offer quality, durable, jewelry that you can live in, work in, and love in, with little maintenance and upkeep.

OUR GOLD PLATING PROCESS

All of our jewelry goes through a physical vapor deposition (PVD) process. PVD is a metal vapor that consists of additional alloy metals such as aluminum, chromium, and titanium. This metal vapor is then deposited onto the stainless steel and adds a layer of hardness and protection. PVD is just as durable, if not more, than stainless steel itself. PVD will not tarnish, fade, or rust, and can last a lifetime with daily upkeep. PVD is also much more environmentally friendly than most e-plating and coating processes, staying consistent with our "green" beliefs.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

We want you to live in, work in, and love in your jewelry. We recommend always storing your jewelry in the pouch provided. Maintenance for your jewelry is simple, for day-to-day or occasional upkeep: use a dry, soft-fiber cloth to gently buff away any residue. Monthly or yearly upkeep: use a soft-fiber cloth along with mild soap and water to gently buff away any natural oils.

Cleaning agents to avoid: products designed to remove rust or tarnish and contain hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, and/or phosphoric acid.

Also, avoid bleach and scouring pads or abrasive materials used to buff or shine.
